Founder
Ron McGuire, AP, ABA, ATA, ATP, RTRP

Ron graduated cum laude from USC in 1974 with a degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting. After graduation, he became an auditor for the old Duke Power Company in Charlotte, NC (now Duke Energy). He worked in the audit department for several years and was then promoted to Supervisor of the Catawba Accounting Group. This group was responsible for developing the accounting systems to keep track of the sale of the Catawba and McGuire Nuclear Stations to various cities and Co-Ops in the Duke Power service area. That project was almost complete in 1985 when Ron decided to start his own tax practice (He had been preparing taxes part time since 1974.).

Ron opened McGuire’s Accounting and Tax after leaving Duke Power and operated the business by himself until his son, Darin, graduated from USC and joined him in the business.

Ron was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on December 21, 2017.
